Please join us in welcoming Kris Myers as HSP’s new Manager of Grants & Foundation Relations. Kris comes to HSP from Rider University, where she worked in the University Advancement department as a program coordinator for the Rider Women’s Leadership Council. She also served as a program coordinator at the New Jersey Historical Commission. Before that, Kris was the program director at the Alice Paul Institute for over 15 years, where she gained a full museum skill-set: leading tours, delivering presentations, facilitating programs, and writing grants. She has also worked as an adjunct instructor, teaching gender studies and women’s history courses at Rowan College at Burlington County, Camden County College, and The College of New Jersey. Kris graduated from Rowan University with a bachelor’s in history and women’s studies, earned her MA in liberal arts from the University of Pennsylvania. “I’ve lived in California, Okinawa, England, and Texas before my dad retired from the Air Force and settled in South Jersey,” she said. “I love history and consider getting lost in an archive my idea of a great time. I look forward to supporting HSP with grant funding for programs, preservation, research, and more!” Kris started in early April and can be reached at kmyers@hsp.org.
