Please join us in welcoming Katy Barnes as HSP’s new Director of Genealogical Services and Programs. Katy comes to HSP from Legacy Tree Genealogists in Salt Lake City, where she spent seven years as a senior editor and researcher across a wide range of geographic specialties. Katy earned a bachelor’s degree in family history & genealogy from Brigham Young University. “I am enthusiastic about the role genealogy can play in getting people interested in history, and its impacts on public consciousness,” she said. “HSP is a great place to see that in action and I am thrilled to join the team.” Katy started at the beginning of April and can be reached at kbarnes@hsp.org.
